So The Countdown Begins.

Well to those who don't follow my life and its many adventures, I'm near the approach of my last tour. Deploying to the Arabian Gulf, guarding 95% of Americas Oil supply, conducting small boat operations, and embarking on Naval Boardings (as a VBSS Teams member) looking for anything out of the norm(drugs, firearms) and hunting Pirates. From Landing million dollar Military Helicopters at any time of the day or night, to receiving millions of gallons of fuel on a weekly basis to refuel the ship, not to mention standing 10 hours a day to drive the ship daily(actually driving the ship). My life is pretty much going to suck, sleep deprivation, dehydration, Aggravation, and not to mention BOREDOM. Funny thing about it is this my second time Deploying. What I'll be missing the most is LOVE, something I need to survive the long 8 month-fun-filled adventure(sarcasm). Last Deployment my Wife and I embarked a very difficult and changing relationship, newlyweds who had no form of communication on a daily basis, other than praying for e-mail time, or old fashion mail being received months late. Music, thats what keeps me sane, and able to free my mind from the torment of slave driving superiors, and the military environment that tries time and time in to eliminate every possible particle of individuality that I still posses in this Filipino body. My first generation 8GB iPod touch from 2007 is all I have, and all I need. From the soft soothing Reggae melodies to the raging beats of Hardcore Heavy metal, and Dubstep dance music are what keep my eyes open on the possitive side of hell and grow wings to a higher ground.

As I purchase dozens of boxers and military standard issue black socks and over priced Uniforms, I can't help but NOT face reality. I just want to look forward to seeing the love of my life in two weeks in Las Vegas, being with Family and REAL friends, and just enjoying life....at its finest hour, at that very moment. Let the hour glass drip its ever shinny and vibrant sand through time, and let the smiles float in the air like balloons being cut lose from a used auto dealer.
